Check to see that the REALTOR® has more than the basic license. There are many courses and designations/certifications above and beyond the minimum. This shows that the REALTOR® is investing in himself/herself and is to your benefit! This is a choice the agent made to improve himself/herself educationally, not a requirement. Some common certifications are CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) and ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative).
